To ensure fairness, new pickup lines start with a provisional rating that requires 10 comparisons to become stable.
New Rating = Current Rating + K × (Actual Score - Expected Score)Where K depends on whether the line is provisional (40) or stable (25)
System calculates expected performance based on ratings
Actual performance is recorded (win/loss in comparison)
Rating is adjusted based on performance vs expectation
Lines are paired with similar ratings for fair comparisons
Recently rated lines are hidden to prevent bias
